Barclays funds Mothers for All

In late 2008 someone working at Barclays Bank Botswana saw the Mothers for All products on sale at Botswanacraft, a large shop in Gaborone which showcases Botswana's best indigenous crafts. This person was so impressed by both the products and the project that she tracked us down and suggested we apply for funding from Barclays UK.

We therefore put together a proposal that would help us expand the project into the Kalahari and the Okavango Delta villages, as well as roll out a national workshop programme. These workshops will focus on teaching the mothers a range of life skills including HIV and AIDS management and prevention, financial management, good nutrition, food gardening, and environmental awareness. Mothers for All is very happy to say that we have recently received confirmation that the funding has been approved by Barclays UK and we would like to use this opportunity to thank them for supporting this project. We hope to be worthy recipients of the money and the trust they have placed in the organisation by uplifting the lives of many orphans and vulnerable children and their caregivers around Botswana, as well as helping the environment.
